I usually do S’deals of the Day but this one is so good that it should suffice for the week. Basically Bloomingdale’s periodically does Friends and Family sales which means everyone gets to take advantage of the same discount that employees get. I called them to confirm and it starts this coming Wednesday. 20% off includes cosmetics and fragrances and all that good stuff that never ever goes on sale.

The best part is since Nordstrom has an awesome price-match promise, they will price match anything at their stores for 20% off, as long as they exist at Bloomingdale’s stores as well. So when you make a purchase at Nordstorm, just tell them you want to have it price-matched to Bloomingdales’ Friends&Family for 20% off.

These sales usually last for about a week or so hop on it quick!

I’m sure some-a lot of people signed up for a free Amazon Prime trial for a year back in July but there’s a method to extend it til this time 2012. If you don’t know what Amazon Prime is, it basically offers free shipping on items shipped directly from Amazon without that pesky $25 minimum purchase. 

Simply go here and cancel your current Prime trial (it’ll open in a new window):

And go here to re-sign up for it (it’ll open in a new window):

SIGN UP

and it should extend your trial until March 2012! If this doesn’t work, just sign up for another amazon account and use the same .edu email when you’re signing up for the prime trial. 

For all you alumni out there, alumni emails work too! Hopefully you requested one when you graduated. Simply change the email from: name@alum.school.edu to name@Alum.school.edu for it to work. 

Another thing I discovered was that all the shows and movies under Instant Video Amazon are FREE to all Prime subscribers! As if you needed another distraction during finals week (good thing it’s almost over).
